The harvest comes to an end

The harvest comes to an end

The harvest is coming to an end. After a few weeks of tireless work, the last apple of the 2018 season is pressed. The apple that has already gone through the century-old chestnut wood presses rests in the barrels. This method of production is currently very unusual in llagares, and is one of the best kept secrets of Trabanco. This handcrafted process is an important effort because the pressing time requires a slower process and greater personnel needs but thanks to it a finer and more elegant cider is obtained.

It is expected that the cider will be ready in the month of April to go to market, after a period of rest after completion of fermentation. The first cider that will go on sale in spring will be the Cider on the Mother. In the meantime it is time to wait, yes, enjoying the Trabanco cider.
